De 44e uitreiking van de Edison Music Awards was afgelopen donderdag een groot live muziekspektakel. Naast de Edison Music Awards werden ook de twee Edison Nescafé Publieksprijzen uitgereikt. Tien Edisonwinnaars traden op en kregen het felbegeerde beeldje.
Optredens waren er onder andere van Mark Knopfler, Atomic Kitten, Sugababes en Big Brovaz. In totaal traden 16 bands op voor de aanwezige fans. De presentatie was in handen van Adam Curry, Patricia Paay
